The International Symposium on Bedload Management took place on 8-10 November 2021 in Interlaken and was organized by the Platform Renaturierung of Wasser-Agenda 21.
There was an interesting exchange between science, engineering companies, environmental protection agencies and public authorities on the challenges of bedload restoration. One of the field trips took us to the beautiful Gadmer valley, where we visited a restoration site to improve longitudinal bedload continuity. At that time it was spawning season for the lake trout, which just spawned in the Gadmer valley!
